1. Our Pricing Philosophy
At Heliflights.ch, we operate on a unique pricing model that sets us apart from traditional helicopter tour operators. We fly at "Selbstkostenpreis" (cost price) on a private basis, which means:
- We charge only what it costs us to operate the flight safely
- No inflated profit margins on flight operations
- Transparent pricing based on actual operational costs
- All flights are private - you never share with unknown passengers
We operate on a cost-sharing basis to share the joy of helicopter flying with fellow aviation enthusiasts. This means that we do not (and actually we are not allowed by law) to earn money with the flights. We simply offer them for our own joy. This approach allows us to offer helicopter experiences at the most competitive prices in Switzerland while maintaining the highest safety and service standards.
Important: It is expressly stated that no profit markup is charged for flight time and only the actual operating costs of the helicopter are passed on to passengers.
2. General Conditions and Requirements
Flight Conditions
- All flights take place exclusively under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) weather conditions to ensure the safety of all participants
- Passengers with health restrictions or severe altitude/flight anxiety are asked to contact us in advance - in such cases, we may advise against the flight
Children and Minors
- Children are welcome on our flights but must be properly secured with a safety belt like all other passengers
- All passengers, including children, require their own seat
- Minors may only fly accompanied by an adult or must present written consent from a legal guardian
3. Flight Safety
The final decision on whether to conduct a flight rests exclusively with the pilot. Factors such as the technical condition of the helicopter, weather conditions, and other safety-relevant circumstances are considered.
- All helicopters used are rented and regularly maintained according to legal requirements
- Each helicopter is inspected by the pilot before every flight
- Safety is our absolute priority - no flight will proceed if conditions are not optimal
4. Booking and Ticketing
- After booking a scenic flight, you will receive a ticket or booking confirmation with all relevant flight information
- For charter bookings, we will contact you personally to coordinate all details individually
- Before the flight, each passenger receives a flight ticket with all relevant insurance information and flight price
- Payment is required before the flight in cash or by invoice
5. Validity and Vouchers
- Our flights and vouchers are valid indefinitely and can only be redeemed once
- If a flight cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, technical issues), an alternative date will be arranged
- No expiration date applies to our flight vouchers
6. Flight Duration
- The stated flight time refers to the pure flight time from takeoff to landing
- If the flight extends due to unforeseen reasons, no additional costs are incurred by passengers
- Extension of the flight at passengers' request (e.g., for special photo opportunities) is possible by arrangement during the flight and will be charged additionally per minute
- If the flight is shortened for reasons beyond our responsibility, no refund will be provided
7. Pricing and Payment Terms
All flights are conducted on a private basis and offered at cost price. Only the actual operating costs of the helicopter are charged.
- Maximum number of passengers per flight is 4
- The total price remains unchanged even with fewer passengers
- Payment is due before the flight in cash or by invoice
- Prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include all mandatory fees
8. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Weather and Safety Cancellations
- Flights cancelled due to weather conditions receive full refund or free rescheduling
- Safety is our top priority - we reserve the right to cancel flights for safety reasons
- Technical issues with the helicopter result in full refund or rescheduling at no cost
Customer Cancellations
- Cancellations 48+ hours before flight: Full refund
- Cancellations 24-48 hours before flight: 50% refund
- Cancellations less than 24 hours: No refund (except medical emergencies)
9. Safety Requirements
All passengers must:
- Follow all safety instructions provided by our crew
- Meet weight and health requirements for safe flight
- Arrive at the designated time for safety briefing
- Wear appropriate clothing as advised (closed-toe shoes, avoid loose clothing)
- Be properly secured with safety belts throughout the flight
10. Liability and Insurance
All flights are covered by comprehensive aviation insurance as required by Swiss law. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable aviation regulations.
- Each passenger receives insurance information with their flight ticket
- Coverage details are provided before each flight
- All helicopters maintain required insurance coverage
